Practice should cost less than the exam
FundedLot is built by traders who paid for the same lesson too many times — and decided the lesson should be rehearsable.
The gap we're closing
Prop-firm evaluations are a genuine opportunity: prove discipline on their rules and trade with serious capital. But the industry has a structural quirk — the only place to practice the rules is inside a paid attempt. Broker demos are free and unlimited, yet none of them will fail you for breaching a 5% daily loss limit, because no broker demo has one.
So the typical path is: pay $50–$540, meet the daily loss limit for the first time on day three, breach it, receive a one-line email, pay again. Commonly cited estimates put failure rates around 90%. That is not a strategy problem. It is a rehearsal problem.
FundedLot is the rehearsal. Real market prices, the rule mechanics — daily loss, drawdown, targets, minimum days — enforced live on virtual funds, trailing drawdown, consistency and timezone rules judged in a simulated payout check, and a coach that itemizes every mistake and what it cost. Fail here, read the autopsy, retry for free. Then go take the real one, once.
What we believe
- Sell the training, not the dream. We make money the way a gym does — from practice, courses and analysis. We do not sell funded accounts, we do not promise funding, and we never will inside this app.
- Grade process, not luck. A winning trade with no stop and 4% risk is a bad trade that got paid. Our coach scores it accordingly, because real evaluations eventually will too.
- Real numbers, second person, no shaming. "Opened 74 seconds after a $312 loss at 1.8× size" changes behaviour. "Trade with discipline!" changes nothing.
- The free tier must be genuinely useful. You get the full simulator and a complete evaluation for nothing, because people should feel real practice before paying for more of it.
- Honesty about what simulation is. Practice reduces avoidable mistakes; it cannot guarantee outcomes. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something worse.
What FundedLot is — and is not
It is an educational trading simulator for rehearsing prop-firm-style evaluations, with mistake coaching, analytics, courses, and a certificate for completed simulated evaluations.
It is not a broker, a prop firm, an investment service, or a route to a funded account. Virtual funds only. No deposits, no payouts, no real-money trading. We are not affiliated with any proprietary trading firm; when our content mentions typical industry rules and fees, it describes the market generally, not any specific company.
The road ahead
The app is the beginning. On the roadmap: cloud-synced practice accounts that run 24/7 with server-side stops and alerts, richer rule libraries, importing your real trading statements so the same mistake engine can analyze your live history, and deeper courses. The mission stays fixed: make the practice so cheap and so honest that nobody's first attempt at the rules is a paid one.
